Episode 2 is the second chapter of the Code Adam (WEBTOON) series by Atterozen. It was released on June 23rd, 2019.
Synopsis
On their way to his medical exam, Atlas and Annie walk down a corridor, passing by several rooms on either side of them. Peering into one, Atlas watches Roman and a group of scientists conduct an experiment on a young T-2 girl, forcing her to use her ability to manipulate electricity. The girl is exhausted after a few seconds of using her ability, the immense power putting a heavy strain on her body. As the experiment concludes, Atlas notices Annie waiting for him. He apologizes and catches up to her, not noticing Roman shooting him a glare. As the two continue through the hallway, Atlas comments about the rate at which the T-2 children are being experimented on. Annie adds that the immense power the T-2s possess is too great for their bodies to handle, eventually causing them to give out. She states that it's "an unfortunate situation" and warns Atlas against forming attachments with any of the T-2 children at the lab. The air between them growing tense at this heavy topic of conversation, their conversation tapers off when they are met by Maria and Nine, who are also on their way to an exam. Nine is blatantly frustrated about the situation, angrily saying that he already had one this week. Maria flirts with Nine, coercing him into cooperating by saying that she'll give him a kiss if he behaves himself. Turning to Atlas, she comments that Nine's exam was only posted in the system that morning. Atlas questions why the schedule would be changed all of a sudden. Maria admits that she's not sure, but that it shouldn't be an issue since they will only be running basic tests. Atlas doesn't appear convinced by her response, but doesn't press the matter further.
On the roof of a nearby building outside the lab, a group of four T-2s survey the facility below them. A man with red hair, appearing to be the group's leader, reminds them of their objective: to infiltrate the lab and retrieve their targets.
