Follow the global and local community guidelines
All users are required to follow global user conduct rules and Fandom Community Guidelines. The Code Adam Wiki also has its own set of policies that users must abide by.
In particular, users are not permitted to:
- Harass other editors, nor brazenly disparage other users on this wiki; this includes harassing on other platforms.
- Intentionally deface content on our wiki, including other's user pages;
- Post content containing any profanities or crude language;
- Post any content that is obscene, pornographic, abusive, offensive, profane, or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party, or content that contains homophobia, ethnic slurs, religious intolerance, or encourages criminal conduct;
- Attempt to impersonate another editor, staff (Wiki & Game), or other famous people/users;
- Utilize multiple accounts in a manner to evade an existing block, to manipulate community impression or support of an idea, or to deceive or mislead other editors;
- Post, upload, transmit, share, or store unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, solicitations, "spam", or any other type of unauthorized solicitation into articles or in excess (such as to your YouTube channel or other streaming services, Discord servers, etc).
Users who violate any of these policies are subject to punishments and warnings as listed here.
Assume Good Faith
Editors should assume good faith on all edits. Assuming good faith means that you automatically assume that an editor's intentions on editing are good. They want to help the wiki, even if they are doing things that might not be correct. Don't label something as vandalism, unless there is a malicious intent behind it. If an edit needs to be undone, do so kindly and explain why it is being undone; don't say things such as "this edit sucks".
Profanities are not permitted
Profanity is not permitted anywhere on the Wiki. The only use of profanity that is appropriate is in an encyclopedic context. Quotations, in-game content, or anything else relating to the game's content that contains swearing that is appropriate to be put on the page is permitted. Attempting to post swearing in an "encyclopedic context" that is off-topic for a page or is not relevant or important information is not acceptable. This wiki is intended to be read by children, teens, and adults alike and as such we ask that our users refrain from using such language. Mild profanity such as "damn" and "hell" is discouraged, but will be tolerated if used in moderation. If in doubt about what constitutes "mild profanity," do not use the word.
Profanity may only be used in very rare encyclopedic contexts. If you believe an article may benefit with an addition that may otherwise be deemed inappropriate, please contact a Staff member for assistance. Please do not attempt to add these yourself, as some profanities in an edit could result in your account being automatically blocked.
Do not Mini-Mod
The Code Adam Wiki will not permit mini-modding. The act of mini-modding is often described as a user taking it upon themselves to act as a staff member without permission. They may warn or threaten users about their rule infractions or act like they have authority over other users. This is not permitted. If a user has broken a rule, please report it to a Staff Member instead of taking matters into your own hands.
Do not impersonate others
The Code Adam Wiki is a source of information for many users and may be used openly be YouTubers or other well-known individuals or users. We will not permit anyone to impersonate other users. This includes exact or very similar usernames or any of their known handles or aliases.
Users who are caught impersonating may be told to request a username change on FANDOM, have any edits they have done deleted, or may be permanently blocked from the Wiki.
