Episode 4 is the fourth chapter of the Code Adam (WEBTOON) series by Atterozen. It was released on July 7th, 2019.
Synopsis
Atlas commands Roman to let the girl go. Scoffing, Roman yanks Reyna closer to him, firmly stating that he will not be leaving the lab. Atlas tenses, preparing to charge the other man. In response, Roman presses the gun more firmly to the girl's head and threatens to kill her, effectively forcing Atlas to freeze. Roman taunts Atlas, holding Reyna at gunpoint to distract him. When Atlas asked about the other T'2s, Roman dismisses the question, raising the gun towards him.
As that ensues, Nine finds himself lost in the hallways, finally losing his patience and starts screaming that it's hopeless. Suddenly, he hears gunshots.
On the other side, Maria and Annie engage in a gunfight, and Maria is surprised that Annie out of all people would actually help the horrors, shouting at her that part of their jobs as Aides is to make sure the Horrors don't escape in the first place. Annie remains reserved, firing back, stating that she has her own reasons. She remarks that one of the other parts of the job is to be professional, calling out Maria's intimacy with Nine. Maria admits that it is only to control him— just a little flirting and he will do whatever she asks— calling him an idiot, just in time for Nine to Nine to arrive and hear it all himself. Annie calls it a pity, although Maria is showing her true colors at last. Maria returns the saying, raising her gun and saying that she is sure she will be rewarded for capturing a traitor, despite the difficult clean-up.
