— Iantis, Episode 10 | ||
Episode 10 is the tenth chapter of the Code Adam (WEBTOON) series by Atterozen. It was released on August 18, 2019.
Synopsis
Nine tells Atlas of what transpired with Maria and Annie the night they escaped the lab. He then asks Atlas about his side of the story of what had happened that night. His friend gives a brief explanation, and Nine notices the bandages on his face and chest. He asks Atlas if he is alright, apologizing for not going with him. Atlas evades the question, saying that he's not sure even Nine's help would have been enough to stop Roman, and that he's just glad that Nine wasn't hurt.
The two meet up with Iantis, Lato, Sands, and Hinalea, who take them into the city to get a taste of the world outside the lab. As they order food from a restaurant, they talk a bit about their pasts, Hinalea sharing that the four T-2s were also from the labs. Atlas comments that he's surprised they were able to survive in the city, and Iantis replies that the building they use as their home base technically belongs to someone else and that they are merely "borrowing" it.
Their food arrives before anyone can ask anything further. Lato and Atlas share a nod of solidarity, the two being the only ones who ordered nutrient cubes rather than typical food. As everyone digs in, Atlas questions whether it's safe for them to be discussing information about the highly confidential lab projects out in public. Iantis waves his concern aside, saying that no one would believe them anyway, and that if someone did become suspicious, the group could easily force them to silence through threats or bribery.
After their meal, the group heads back out to the bustling streets toward a shop where they plan to pick up a few items for their upcoming covert operation. While Iantis, Hinalea, and Sands bicker about the shop's location, Nine notices Atlas watching the crowd around them warily. Nine asks him what's wrong, and Atlas reluctantly admits that he doesn't believe the lab would let the two of the escape that easily. He notes that if the lab technicians were desperate to retrieve them, they would have sent the military on their heels, but there's been no sign of any soldiers. Under his breath, he wonders what they could be waiting for.
Just then, Sands finds the shop, a clothing boutique, and the group prepares to enter.
