Episode 16 is the sixteenth chapter of the Code Adam (WEBTOON) series by Atterozen. It was released on September 29, 2019.
Synopsis
In the parking garage, Sands and Deus continue their face-off. Deus asks whether Sands' mask is made of metal, saying that it reminds him of an experiment involving all the metal-wielding Horrors that was conducted at the lab years ago. Sands' expression darkens and he replies that that event is a "bad memory", and adds that his mask is not made of metal. Their duel continues, both using their abilities to attack one another with metal objects around the area. Finally, Sands, his leg wounded, is knocked to the ground by a huge sheet of metal Deus slams into him.
Meanwhile, Sita's manager repeats to Atlas that Sita will be leaving the gala event without any further discussion. However, Sita stops her manager, requesting that he and her assistant wait for her in the hallway outside. After a moment, Sita's manager and assistant begrudgingly exit the room. Atlas states that he and Nine are searching for the other Originals, and questions Sita about what she knows of the Cure.
Back in the parking garage, Deus approaches Sands, who is still lying on the ground. The Original rebukes Sands for starting a mirror match, or a fight between two Horrors possessing the same ability. Taking Deus by surprise, Sands activates his ability and bursts several metal pipes in the ceiling, causing part of the ceiling to collapse. The heavy cement and stone falls before Deus can move, crushing him beneath its weight. Sands gets to his feet and moves closer to the rubble, then uses his ability to bring down a few more floors "just for good measure".
